Duties & Responsibilities

- Management of small dedicated team of production artists, monitoring workflows and allocating jobs as required
- Hands-on creation of error-free mechanicals (box, tube, label, POS, etc.), mock-up arts, brand guidelines, asset suites, design refinements, visualising/retouching and final print-ready mechanical deliverables
- Occasional attendance on press as required
- Close daily working with Client Services and Design teams
- Regular communications with key clients and suppliers/producers
- Identification of production challenges and problem-solving
- Adherence to production guidelines, regulatory guidelines and specifications
- Reporting directly to: NY Studio Principle and Design Realisation & Production Director (based in UK)

Skills and Knowledge Requirements

- Expert knowledge of packaging artwork production and print processes (minimum 6 years experience) with a specific interest in the drinks packaging industry
- Strong organizational and communication skills; professional-level communication in written and spoken English
- Ability to work under pressure to tight timelines whilst maintaining a calm and structured approach to workflow
- Extremely detail-oriented
- Possess a natural flair for typography and have an 'eye for design'
- A flexible hard work ethic
- Ability to handle more than one project at a time and prioritise as required
- Extensive knowledge of industry standard software (Adobe Creative Suite); 3D experience would be a plus
- Strong working knowledge of prepress processes (i.e.: offset, flexo and digital printing, color spaces, applications and image reproduction)
- Strong experience of press attendance
- Strong working knowledge of printing techniques (i.e.: applications, tolerances, varnishes, foils, embossing and other finishing treatments)
- Working knowledge of various reproduction and manufacturing techniques
