Stranger & Stranger names Elizabeth Obee Managing Director

Stranger & Stranger today announced the appointment of Elizabeth Obee as Managing Director, effective immediately. In her new role, Obee will help guide the agency’s strategic direction and client partnerships as it continues to expand its offering across branding and design.

Obee brings nearly 20 years of brand strategy experience to the role, having held senior positions at Vault49 and Pearlfisher. Over the course of her career, she has led strategic and creative work for a roster of global clients including Diageo, PepsiCo, Colgate-Palmolive, and Nike, developing brand platforms that span categories from beverage and CPG to sport and lifestyle.

She joins Stranger & Stranger with a reputation for pairing sharp strategic thinking with hands-on leadership.

“Elizabeth’s track record speaks for itself – she’s helped some of the world’s biggest brands sharpen their thinking, and she does it with a rare mix of rigor and instinct,” said Kevin Shaw, Founder of Stranger & Stranger. “We’re thrilled to have her join us in this new role.”

“Elizabeth brings exactly the kind of strategic depth and creative sensibility we look for both Stranger & Stranger, and our clients,” said Cheryl R. Blain, Chief Operating Officer. “Her experience with Diageo and PepsiCo speaks to the caliber of thinking she brings to the table.”

“Stranger & Stranger has earned its reputation for work that’s both distinctive and disciplined, and that combination is exactly what drew me here,” said Obee. “I'm looking forward to helping the team push that further – building brands and offering solutions that aren’t just differentiated, but perform for the businesses behind them.”

Obee will be based in New York and will report to Kevin Shaw, Founder.
